Cat fur is more than just a feather. Skin cells, saliva, and other proteins that can cause your body to release histamine (an immune system protein) can make you become allergic.

1. Prepare something before going away
"If I know that I am going to the house of someone who has a pet, I take anti-allergy pill 20 minutes before going out," said Alejandra Soto, quoted from msn.com, who has an allergy to cats, dogs, horses, and pretty much any animal with feathers since childhood. Because he does not always tell if someone has a pet before he visited, Soto added, he always has an antihistamine in his wallet. Then prepare yourself before you go to someone's house to prepare anti-allergy medication that you can consult your doctor first.

2. Try to avoid soft seat
Sofa or other chairs are padded nest cat fur left or loss. Cats happy to sleep and silence there. So, if you want to sit, try to choose a chair that rests a little harder because it rarely occupied the chair like a cat.

3. Consumption of drugs Antihistamines
Antihistamines are substances that can prevent histamine work. Antihistamines are often used to treat allergic reactions caused by such as animal hair or pollen. However, you still need to consult to the doctor about this drug and how it is used.

4. Avoid touching the cat & Wash hands thoroughly
Avoid direct contact with body parts of the cat even if you touch it with your index finger. If you touch it and then feather sticking your fingers touch your face or eyes, this can trigger allergy symptoms. So, if you feel touching the body of a cat or touch points that are often occupied by a cat, try to wash your hands until your hands are clean before touching your face.

5. When you've arrived home
After a visit from a person's home that has a cat, you should wash the clothes with hot water to avoid things that make you allergic to reside in your home.

6. If you have a cat
While you are allergic to cats but still want to have it, then there are some things you should consider. Keep cats out of your room and close the heating or air conditioning vents with cheesecloth to reduce allergens (allergy-causing). Rub the bedroom wall and the parts are made of wood because allergens can stick there. Get rid of the cats preferred furniture. If you must have carpet, select a lower layer and you should as often as possible to clean. Carpet cleaning periodically with hot water.

7. Maximize cat care
Maximize cat care to provide a balanced diet. This is because the animals are eating a balanced diet will have a healthier skin and feathers are not easy to fall off. If there are family members who are not allergic to cats or other furry animals, ask for help for cleaning, brushing, or bathe in the outdoors and also clean the litter box or cage.
